RET’s core lithium-ion battery recycling technologies include safe high-voltage battery discharge, advanced vacuum drying for the removal and recovery of electrolytes and VOCs, and mechanical processing with the RET Impact Reactor to maximize black mass recovery and purity. VAN DYK combines these technologies with its extensive experience designing and integrating turnkey recycling systems throughout North America.
Each project begins with a detailed review of the customer’s battery feedstock, chemistry mix, throughput requirements, operating schedule, product specifications, building constraints, permitting needs, and downstream markets. From there, VAN DYK and RET develop the process flow, review the proposed operating concept with the customer, and proceed into equipment layout, integration, installation, commissioning, training, and long-term service support. RET’s modular approach allows systems to be configured for different capacities and applications, ranging from individual discharge or drying solutions to complete, multi-line black mass recovery plants.
Together, VAN DYK and RET provide battery recyclers with a complete North American solution designed to improve safety, maximize material recovery, and extract the greatest possible value from each battery processed.
